Book Response Activity: Joyce Carol Oates Venn Diagram

For the first book response activity of the summer, I made a Venn diagram highlighting a few of the people, places, and themes shared by the three Joyce Carol Oates books I read last month; "Bellefleur", "The Museum of Doctor Moses", and "Son of the Morning". I did this today off the top of my head, but as I was reading the second and third of these books, I felt numerous pings of familiarity. If I had sat with a notebook and pencil, I think I could have filled this Venn diagram with many, many more cross-references.
